● The first step is to take the Cyber Essentials Basic self-assessment questionnaire. It is a pre-requisite if you want to go for Plus certifications, as it ensures that your basics are secured and functioning optimally.
● The technical audit follows the first phase. An independent assessor will conduct physical assessments of systems and networks to evaluate the security preparedness of your organisation. It also includes vulnerability scans, penetration testing, and evaluation of your security policies and processes.
● After the successful completion of the audit, your organisation will get a Cyber Essentials Plus certification, valid for 12 months.
● The certificate should be renewed annually to retain the Plus certification.
